Best Basketball Players of Malaysia

1. Chee Li Wei

Chee Li Wei plays as the forward and Center of the KL Dragons or now called as the Westport KL Dragons. He belongs to the National Basketball League of Malaysia, and of the players that represent the country for inter-states competitions. He had joined the KL Dragons since the year 2004 and up to this event.

Chee Li Wei is really a tall man since he stands for about 6 foot and 4inches and weighs 211 pounds. He is a pure Malaysian citizen and is proud to represent his country. Chee Li Wei has been parts of different achievements of the KL Dragons, such are the following: NBL 2004 and 2008 where they won as champion.

He was also to able to participate in the South East Asian Games during the year 2007 and his team won the FIBA Asia Championship cup during the year 2005 and SEABA (South East Asia Basketball Asocciation) in 2005. Aside from being a part of the KL Dragons’ victory, he was also chosen as the Most Valuable Player in the year 2004, 2008 and 2009 on the Agong Cup Competition.

2. Kwaan- Yoong Jing

On the other hand, Kwaan Yoong Jing is just a 20 year-old Malaysian basketball player of the Westport KL Dragons. He is part of the former KL dragon on the year 2000, and still stayed in the new named team Westport KL Dragons on the year 2009 and up to present. Kwaan Yoong Jing is even taller than Chee Li Wei since his height is about 6 foot and 5 inches and weighs for 87 kilograms. Kwaan Yoong Jing plays as the point guard and forward of the team.

Kwaan Yoong Jing is really a pride of Malaysia, as a part of the achievements of the team he was also ranked as the National Basketball League First Runner-up during the year 2007. Kwaan Yoong Jing also participated in the 2005 Agong Cup and won as the champion. The Westport KL Dragon (where Kwaan Yoong Jing is one of the players), also won as the champions in the 2010 Agong Cup and 2009 and 2010 National Basketball League.

3. Ho Yeow Loong

Even this guy only stands for 5 foot and inches, he is still considered as one of the best and powerful weapons of the Westport KL Dragons. Ho Yeow Loong weighs for 76 kilograms and is a Malaysian citizen. He is just 22 years old.

He joined the National team during the year 2009. Even before he is not yet part of the national team, he has already earned victory. He was a part of the 2006 Asia SEABA Junior Championship and his team bring home as champs.

On the year 2008, he is also part of the Agong cup and won as the first runners-up in the competition. When he joined the national team, the Westport KL Dragon won as the 2010 National Basketball League Champs.

These three basketball players of Westport KL Dragons are indeed a great pride of Malaysia.
