Rajon Rondo Bio

Rajon Pierre Rondo is a point guard of Boston Celtics in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

He is an American Native. Rondo is a responsible player in his professional field and through his performances; he has always supported his team.

Rajon Pierre Rondo was born on February 22, 1986 in Louisville at Kentucky. He was raised by his mother as his father had left the family when he was seven years old. His mother used to work in a Tobacco Company; Philip Morris USA. His father’s name is Amber Rondo and he meets his father very often.

In his childhood times, Rondo used to play football but his mother was more interested in basketball playing for his son. She succeeded in diverting the interest and attention of his boy for the basketball and nowadays, his son is a professional player. Rajon Pierre Rondo has three siblings with the names Dymon, William and Anton.

Rondo has joined Eastern High School of Louisville. He became passionate in basketball playing from then and used to practice a lot, play a lot, and so hitting the scores a lot in the game. Initially, is his school times, he has averaged 27.9 points, 10.0 rebounds and 7.5 assists.

At that time, he was titled with the honor of Region Player of the Year and he was seventh on rank. Then, Rondo has shifted to the Oak Hill Academy at Virginia. He shifted there for his senior year in school. There, Rajon Rondo has averaged 21 points per game, 3 rebounds per game and 12 assists per game. Time passed and Rondo became more proficient in basketball playing day by day.

Then, he was enrolled in the University of Kentucky and to get into this university was his choice besides University of Louisville. Rondo has contributed a lot through his performances in basketball playing to lead his team in the Inter college tournaments. Kentucky Wildcats have played against University of South Carolina, University of Central Florida and University of Louisville. Kentucky Wildcats used to return with victories but they were unable to play Final Four of the NCAA Tournament.

They lagged behind because of the competition. Rondo has averaged 8.1 points per game, 2.9 rebounds per game, 3.5 assists per game and 2.6 steals per game. In the sophomore year at college, Rondo was succeeded in averaging 11.2 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, 4.9 assists per game and 2.1 steals per game.

It came the time in Rondo’s life when he was drafted by the NBA in 2006 NBA Draft. He was selected by the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Soon, Rondo was traded to the Boston Celtics of the NBA by the Phoenix Suns.

Rajon Rondo has marked his career by many awards and honors. In the year 20078, he was declared as the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. In the year 2008, he was selected as the NBA Champion. When it was the year 2009, Rondo won the title of All-Defensive Second Team. In the year 2010, Rondo was honored being the All Defensive First Team. Rondo was twice selected as the NBA All-Star in the year 2010 and the year 2011.
