Raja Bell

One of the three point shooting guard playing for Utah Jazz in the National Basketball Association (NBA) is Raja Bell.

Raja Bell was born on September 19, 1976 in Saint Croix at U.S. Virgin Islands. He is a 6 feet 5 inches tall athlete with the weight of 215 pounds. Raja Bell was raised in greater Miami at Florida. His high school education was from two places. First, Bell has joined Ponce de Leon Junior High and then he has joined Miami Killian Senior High School.

Raja Bell has married his girlfriend Cindy Green in July 2004 and they have two kids in their family now. In 2007, Raja Bell was declared as the All-Defensive First Team and then right after this year; in 2008, Raja Bell got the title of All-Defensive Second Team.

Raja Bell has completed his college studies in two institutes. First one is Boston University and the second one is Florida International. While having his time in Boston University, American East Conference has announced him as the Freshman of the Year.

In his sophomore years, he always had tussles with his coach and due to this reason; Bell has switched over to Florida University. Then, Bell has completed his studies there and also prospered in his passionate interest that is basketball. There he has also participated in NCAA Tournament.

From the year 1999 to 2001, Raja Bell has not been drafted by the National Basketball Association (NBA). Then, it came the time for the lucky days of Raja Bell when in 2001, he was drafted by the NBA. In the year 2007, he was declared as the All-Defensive First Team. When it came 2008, Raja Bell was awarded by the NBA All Defensive Second Team.

Raja Bell has played in six of the teams of NBA (National Basketball Association). Initially, he was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers after the NBA Draft. He has played with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2001-2002.

Then, during the next year, from 2002-03, Raja Bell has opted to play with the Dallas Mavericks. Again, soon after a year, Utah Jazz was the choice of Raja Bell where he has rendered his services for two years. After 2003-2005, Raja Bell has joined Phoenix Suns from the year 2005 to the year 2008. He has played being the Charlotte Bobcats in 2008-2009.

The, his fate shifted his career to the Golden State Warriors from the year 2009 to the year 2010. By just surviving a single year with the Golden State Warriors, Raja Bell has once again signed the contract of three years for Utah Jazz worth $10 million to play with their team in National Basketball Association (NBA).

Bell has played 74 games on the whole with the Philadelphia 76ers and has averaged 3.4 points per game. Then, with the Dallas Mavericks, Bell has averaged 3.1 points in 15.6 minutes per game. In 17 post season games, Raja Bell has averaged 5.7 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. When Raja Bell was having his participation in Utah Jazz, he has averaged 12.3 points per game, 3.2 rebounds per game and 1.4 assists per game in playing 63 games only.

An active, vigilant and a wise player being a point guard is indeed a name of Raja Bell.
