New Jersey Nets All Stars

Each and every team in the NBA has their own superstars. These superstars may excel in different aspects, but all of them have one thing in common, and it is their individual skills that help the team excel.

Some of these stars are born lucky and skilled, while others developed their skills through hardship and practice, whatever the origin of their skills may be, one thing is for sure, they give inspiration, not just to the team, but also to the viewers whose dreams are to be just like them. New Jersey Nets All-time Leading Scorer

Charles Linwood “Buck” Williams is a retired NBA basketball player and is currently the assistant coach of the Portland Trail Blazers. Buck Williams is the longest tenured player in the franchise history of the New Jersey Nets, and not only that, he is also hailed the all-time leading scorer, with 10, 440 points, among all the other great players that played for the New Jersey Nets.

He also ranked 13th all-time in NBA career rebounds. He won the 1982 NBA Rookie of the year, and in his 17-year NBA career, 8 years of which was spent by Buck in the New Jersey Nets. All the achievements mentioned are proof that Buck William deserves to be one of the New Jersey Nets All Stars.

Kidd No More

Jason Frederick Kidd is one of the most memorable basketball players that played for the Nets. In season 2001-2002, Kidd lead the Nets to their first ever NBA Finals appearance, though they were defeated by the Los Angeles Lakers. His contribution to the Nets during his first season in New Jersey was huge, and resulted in one of the greatest turnarounds in the NBA history.

And by the following season, 2002-2003, they appeared again in the finals, but this time, they were defeated by the San Antonio Spurs. Kidd is the 4th in the New Jersey Nets’ all-time leading scorer, with 7,373 points, that is why he is one of the New Jersey Nets All Stars. However, Kidd is no longer playing for the Nets, but is playing for the Dallas Mavericks.

2004-2009 of the New Jersey Nets

Another member of the New Jersey Nets All Stars is Vince Carter. Vincent Lamar “Vince” Carter is a shooting guard, but he can also play as a small forward. He was traded from the Toronto Raptors to the New Jersey Nets in exchange of Alonzo Mourning, Eric Williams, Aaron Williams, and two more players. Together with Kidd, Carter co-lead the team to 49 wins, which is an Atlantic Division title.

In his first three years with the New Jersey Nets, he was named an all star. Vince Carter is second in the rankings for New Jersey players with most number of points. He made 8,834 points while playing for the New Jersey Nets. Just like Jason Kidd, Carter is not playing for the Nets anymore; he is now playing for the Orlando Magic.
