Kris Humphries Bio

Kris Nathan Humphries is an American native and a professional basketball player.

He is professionally playing for the National Basketball Association (NBA). Kris Humphries is representing New Jersey Nets around these days. Being a basketball player, he is also a social activist.

Kris Humphries plays as a power forward player in the basketball. He is six feet and nine inches high and his listed weight is 235 pounds.

Kris Nathan Humphries was born on February 6, 1985 in Minneapolis at Minnesota. His father was a football player and used to play football in the University of Minnesota. His father William has played from 1979-82. He has two sisters; Krystal and Kaela are swimmers.

Kris has also played swimming in his life and he has his name in the USS national record in the 50 meter freestyle. When Kris was twelve years of age, he has started playing basketball and left the swimming.

Humphries has joined the Hopkins High School and has also pursued his career in the field of basketball. Humphries has participated in the McDonald’s All-American. He has won the titles of the Minnesota Mr. Basketball, State Player of the Year and Naismith Prep Player of the Year.

Kris Humphries was succeeded in averaging double-double in his high school times. In his senior year, Humphries has grabbed 25.7 points per game, 11.4 rebounds per game and 5.0 assists per game.

Duke University has offered him scholarship but Humphries has joined the University of Minnesota very soon after rejecting the Duke University. In his university duration of basketball playing, Humphries has made his career brighter with the 21.7 points per average, 10.1 rebounds per average and has shot with .444 percent from the field and 0.742 percent from the line.

Fortunately, Humphries is out of those lucky players who was nominated as the first Big Ten freshman and was named as the Player of the Week. Humphries has always marveled the audience with his mind blowing moves in the basketball playing and has set numerous records in his high school education times and university times as well.

Then, in the year 2004; National Basketball Association has drafted Kris Humphries. He was drafted in the 2004 NBA Draft. Utah Jazz has selected Humphries as the 14th overall pick and has decided about his selection in the first round. In his overall career with the National Basketball Association (NBA), Kris Humphries has played with four of the teams so far and has also attained many achievements in the field of basketball playing.

Humphries has spent from the year 2004 to the year 2006 with Utah Jazz, Then, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors. He represented Raptors from the year 2006 to 2009. Humphries has stayed for a single season with the Dallas Mavericks too. Then, finally New Jersey Nets have traded him and he is still rendering his services to date for this team.

When FIBA Americas U18 championship took place at the Isla Margarita, Humphries team has won the bronze medal for his team. He has partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of America and also governs his organization for the provision of the basic needs to the less fortunate people.
