If the two words are used, “K-Mart” and power forward, then one is sure that Kenyon Lee Martin is being discussed.

A miraculous player with the capabilities to always perform well is surely Kenyon Martin. He has always won laurels in his field and has a shining record in his career.

Having this player in a team is a blessing and a key of a winning place for the team.

Kenyon Lee Martin was born on December 30, 1977 in Saginaw at Michigan. Kenyon Martin is an American native. He is a professional player of basketball who has been recruited in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Nowadays, he is playing as a power forward for the Denver Nuggets. It was 2000 when Kenyon Martin has been selected by the NBA in the 2000 NBA Draft.

A six feet and nine inches athlete has always pleased everyone with his performances. Kenyon Martin has established his career with two of the teams of NBA. He has a bright record as his career points in his professional field of basketball. The Bryan Adams High School was a place from where he has finished his high school studies.

He used to pay basketball from those times and has participated in many of the inter school games and tournaments of basketball.

Then, it came the time for him to accomplish his college studies and for this Kenyon Martin got admission in Cincinnati. Martin is not only an efficient player but also was an intelligent student. He is also quite concerned about his studies.

While carrying this concern for education, Martin has Bachelor’s Degree in the Criminal Justice. The team with which Martin used to play in his college times is Cincinnati Bearcat. He used to have the coaching of Bob Huggins in the basketball playing. In his sophomore year, Martin has averaged 18.9 points per game, 9.7 rebounds with 3.5 blocks per game.

It was declared for the Kenyon Martin to be Player of the Year. Soon after that, when there held the Conference USA Tournament, Martin has got a broken leg and then he was unable to participate in the NCAA Tournament of the current season in those days.

April 25, 2000 was a lucky year for his life when Kenyon Martin was selected by the 2000 NBA Draft. He was among the top picks from the college by the National Basketball Association. So, New Jersey Nets have selected him to play with them in 2000 and then he has stayed with them for playing basketball till 2004. From 2004 and onwards, Martin was drafted by the Denver Nuggets and is still playing for them to date.

In the year 2000, Kenyon Martin has received Naismith College Player of the Year, Oscar Robertson Trophy and John Wooden Award. Thus, 2000 was also a lucky year as he has been awarded with many honors and was also drafted by NBA in the same year. In the year 2001, Martin has been selected as the NBA ALL-Rookie First Team. It was 2004, when he was honored with the NBA All-Star.

In his career, he has always won gold medals and has starred his career with the remarkable performances. He has been awarded with the three gold medals in; 1999 at Summer Universiade, 2001 at Goodwill Games and then in 2003 at FIBA Americas Championship.
