Jason Collins

Jason Paul Collins, an American Professional Basketball player was born December 2, 1978 in Northridge, California.

Though Jason Collins was selected by the Houston Rockets but nowadays he is playing for Atlanta Hawks in National Basketball Association (NBA).

Harvard Westlake High School is his institute of high school education of Jason Collins. He started playing baseball from those days and used to play at centre position. Jason Paul Collins is a player with the height of 7 feet and having weight in 255 pounds.

He always takes advantage of his height in the court and his height helps him a lot in controlling the tough situation with his tactics.

Soon afterwards, Jason Collin has got admission in Stanford University and continued his education. In the season 2000-2001, Collins was selected as an All-American. Jason got a chance to have his glimpse on the cover of “Sports Illustrated”.

It was March 15, 2000 when Jason got a chance to be on a cover.He played well in those days and it was not like such that he has not flourished his sportsman spirits, tips and tactics. Day by day, there arise new chances of improvement in Jason’s life. In his University times; Jason made record and had 0.608 percentage of field goal.

Jason was a person in the fifth ranking of blocked shots. Thus, these achievements have made Jason to be on ranking number one establishing history records at Stanford University.

From the year 2001-2008, Jason played with New Jersey Nets. He has played for eight years with this team and has given a back to his team by his enthralling performances. Then after eight years, Jason Collins signed the contract of Minnesota Timberwolves.

Collins has played only one season with the Wolves and then he has signed the contract of Atlanta Hawks. He has started playing with the Atlanta Hawks from 2009 and is still playing for them. It does not matter in Collins professional life that he will never get distracted while playing for any team. He has a confidence to play and maintain the position on the victory stands.

The Year 2004 was a shining one regarding Collins career when he used to play with the New Jersey Nets in his regular seasons. In 2004-05 season, Collins has played 80 games in total. He has 80 games started. His games took 31.8 minutes per game.

His field goal percentage remained 0.412%, 0.333 was 3-point field goal percentage, with 0.656 Free-Throw Percentage. In this season, Jason Collins has averaged 6.1 rebounds per game, 1.3 assists per game, 0.9 steals per game and 0.9 blocks per game; in total 6.4 points per game.

In the playoffs, the season of 2002-03 with the New Jersey Nets was awesome based on averages and percentages. He has played 20 games in total with the 20 games started in 26.5 Minutes per game. 0.363 was a field goal percentage and 0.836 was a free-throw percentage.
