Glen Davis

Ronald Glen Davis, a "Big Baby" of whole World is an American Basketball player of National Basketball Association (NBA), he plays for the Boston Celtics.

In fact this Big Baby was selected by Seattle Super Sonics for the NBA Draft. He is interestingly known as the "Big Baby" from the times of his childhood days. Whenever he plays with older teammates, he used to cry while playing for the little reasons and his coach always used to uplift his spirits by the words, "Stop crying, you big baby."

He was born January 1, 1986 in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He has completed his college studies from Louisiana State College. At that time, coaches of the Southeastern Conference nominated him for the 2006 SEC Player of the Year. Ronald Glen Davis always plays in power forward position but he has also played as the team's backup centre in some of the tournaments.

In his Freshman season, he has played 29 games averaging 13.5 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per game. In his freshman tenure, Davis Davis has scored in double figures in 22 games.

He has rebounded 12 time sin double figures with 10 double doubles. When he has played against the Utah Game; with his one rebound Davis averaged 6.8 rebounds per game to 8.8 rebounds per game. Davis scoring average also improved with the rise of two points.

In the year 2004-06, when he was in sophomore season; he became the fifth player in SEC breaking the records since 1961 to 1965 in both scoring and rebounding. In this season, Glen Davis joined LSU rebounding club. He was the 12th player to join this club because of his performance in career points and rebounds per game.

Though it has not been so long that he has professionally pursued Basketball as his career, but his dedication includes a list of titles , awards and honors. In the year 2005, he was a Member of USA Basketball Under 21 Team.

Then, in the same year, he was selected as the Louisiana Freshman of the Year, NABC All-District 8 Second Team and SEC Freshman of the Year. He starred the year 2006 with his commendable performances winning SEC Player of the Week, All Tournament Team, College Player of the Year, All-Atlanta NCAA Region, Second Team All-American and First Team All American. Even his caoches and college insiders have unanimously decided to declare him SEC Player of the Year.

In the year 2007, he received the titles of USBWA First Team All-District and First Team All-SEC. In 2008, he also remained one time NBA Champion.

It was March 21, 2009 when Glen Davis scored his highest career points which were 24 against the Memphis Grizzles. Then, he suffered from the injuries and was unable to play. After the injuries, the moves of Glen Davis has improved a lot and obvious difference was observed in his style.

In 2009, when there held 2009 Eastern Conference Semifinals, Davis ha splayed remarkably by hitting two key shots and miraculously gave Celtics a win of 95-94 over Orlando Magics. Then, on August 10, 2009; he undersigned the contract to play further with the Boston Celtics for two years worth $6.5 million.
