The coaches are the one who disciplines and determines the players. The coach is the one to tell the players strength and weaknesses that they need to improve. Coaches are the brain and head of every team, they may not be playing in the court but for sure they also are feeling the frustrations, excitements, sadness and happiness of a player. Let us discuss some of the famous USA basketball men’s head coach.

Larry Brown

Lawrence Harvey Brown, popularly known as Larry is a one of the most popular coaches. He was once a basketball player in college too. He is currently coaching the National Basketball Association’s Charlotte Bobcats. He is a professional basketball coach since 1975. He won over 1000 professional games in the ABA and NBA. He was known for being the only coach in NBA history to lead eight different teams to the playoffs.

He was the only person to coach two NBA franchises in the same season (San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers.) One of his biggest achievements in his coaching career was he is the only coach to win both an NCAA National Championship and NBA Championship. He was also a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame as a coach on September 27, 2002 and is considered one of the greatest coaches in Basketball History.

Phil Jackson

Philip Douglas “Phil” Jackson is a former professional basketball, but he is currently the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers and the former coach of the Chicago Bulls. He is considered as one of the best coaches in the history of NBA. He has been the coach of the Bulls from 1989-1998, where the Chicago Bulls won six NBA titles.

Los Angeles Lakers was the next team that Phil Jackson coached. He has been with the Lakers from 2000 until now, and during these years, the Los Angeles Lakers have already won five NBA titles. It is no question that Phil Jackson is one of the best coach in the USA.

Mike Krzyzewski

Michael William “Mike” Krzyzewski was born on February 13, 1974 in Chicago Illinois. He is the men’s college coach of the Duke Blue Davis, which he led to win 4 NCAA Championships, 12 Final Fours, 12 ACC regular season titles, and 12 ACC championships, and he became the sixth men’s basketball coach in the NCAA history to reach the 800-win plateau.

He did not only coach college basketball, but he also coaches the USA Men’s National Basketball Team. He led the USA basketball team to win a silver medal at the 1987 World University Games, a bronze medal at the 1990 FIBA World Championship, a silver medal at the 1990 Goodwill Games, a bronze medal at the 2006 FIBA World Championship and gold medals at the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship, 2010 FIBA World Championship and 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, where the “Redeem Team” finished the tournament with a perfect 8-0 record.

Mike Krzyzewski also agreed to coach the USA Basketball team in the recently 2010 FIBA World Championship and he led the team, again, to a perfect record 8-0.
