Deron Williams Bio

Deron Michael Williams is a young athlete who has marked his career in an excellent way.

He works as a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is representing Utah Jazz from the day he has joined NBA. Although he has not played much yet his career is marked with numerous awards and titles.

Deron Williams is commonly known as the D-Will. He was born on June 26, 1984 in Parkersburg at West Virginia. He studied from The Colony High School in The Colony at Texas. D-Will was enrolled in the University of Illinois for the accomplishment of his higher studies.

He has started playing basketball since childhood. His mother has played a key role in developing an interest of playing basketball for Deron William. His mother Denise Smith has raised him and his younger brother (10 years younger than him). Basically, Denis was a good sportsperson and she has transferred her passion into her genes.

When D-Will was studying in his high school, he used to play basketball there. He has participated in various inter schools tournaments and games of basketball. Same is the case, when Williams was enrolled in the University if Illinois. Even he has gained the fame from the performances which he has shown at his college times.

Williams has averaged 17 points per game, 9.4 assists per game, and 2 steals per game in his high school times being a junior in 2001. When he was in his senior year; he succeeded in averaging 17.6 points per game, 8.5 assists per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, and 2.6 steals per game. When Williams was studying at University of Illinois, he has also maintained a best career in the basketball. He was always busy in playing and participating in the various games of basketball.

In his sophomore year at the college, Williams has raised his average from 6.3 to 14.0 points per game. He has started playing as a point guard in the Basketball. Both of the coaches and the media have selected Williams in the First-Team All-Big Ten. He has also won the laurels by leading his team to the All-Final Four team, First Team All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Tournament Team.

In the year 2005, Williams was finally drafted by the National Basketball Association (NBA) in the 2005 NBA Draft. He was being selected by the Utah Jazz as the third overall pick. He has marveled everyone by presenting his enthralling performances and has marked his career with great bonus points, awards and titles.In the year 2006, Deron Williams was selected as the NBA All-Rookie First Team.

In the same year, he has won Skills Challenge Champion award. In the year 2008 and 2010, D-Will was honored being the All-NBA Second Team. HE was also twice selected as an NBA All-Star in the year 2010 and 2011 as well.

When there held FIBA Americas U18 Championship, Williams has won a bronze medal for the first time in life. In 2007 at Las Vegas, when again FIBA Americas Championship was held, Deron Williams was declared as the winner of the gold medal. This moment happened for the first time in his career. He has again made the possible to win a gold medal in the 2008 Olympic Games at Beijing.
