Amare Stoudemire Bio

Amar’e Carsares Stoudemire is an athlete of basketball who is hired in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Around these days, he is playing basketball to represent the New York Knicks. Amar’e Stoudemire plays as a power forward and centre in the basketball. He was born on November 16, 1982 in Lake Wales at Florida. His height is six feet and 10 inches and his listed weight 240 pounds.

His parents are Hazell and Carrie. When Stoudemire was 12 years old, his father died because of the heart attack. Tragically, Carrie remained in the prison off and on, after the death of her husband. Both of them have filed the divorce when Stoudemire was a young child.

This has affected Stoudemire’s early life years. He has accomplished his studies in six of the schools. He has also studied from the Mount Zion Christian Academy and Cypress Creek. Stoudemire has an elder brother; Hazell Jr. He is a football and basketball player. Hazell Jr. is also an efficient basketball player.

Hazell Jr. has guided Stoudemire a lot in the basketball playing. Stoudemire was also fond of football and he has always imagined himself to be a member of NFL in his life. But, soon his interests have changed and he has started practicing the basketball. Stoudemire has been guided by his brother. Even he was able to do the reverse dunks while playing basketball when he was in grade sixth.

Stoudemire was enrolled in the University of Memphis but he has not ever attended the classes there. He was very active and proficient player of basketball in his school times. When he was playing the basketball in High School, he has participated in the Nike Summer League and has received the title of MVP there.

It was 2002, when this young athlete has accepted to sign the draft by the National Basketball Association. Stoudemire has been selected by the National Basketball Association in 2002 NBA Draft. Phoenix Suns have selected him as the 9th overall pick. In his Rookie year with the Phoenix Suns, he has averaged 13.5 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per game. He has also succeeded in scoring highest point of the season that was 38 in number.A power forward and centre player, Stoudemire has won NBA Rookie of the Year title.

He has spent eight years with the Phoenix Suns till 2010. From the season 2010 to the present time; Stoudemire has played with the New York Knicks. He has marked his career with stunning performances and has left no room in brightening his career with the honors and titles.

In the year 2003, Stoudemire was selected as the NBA Rookie of the Year and NBA All-Rookie First Team. He has been honored six times in his professional career with the NBA All-Star in the year 2005, and from the year 2007 to 2011. Then, Stoudemire won the title of All-NBA Second Team. It happened thrice in his life in the years 2005, 2008 and 2010 respectively. In 2007, he has been awarded with the All-NBA First Team.

Amar’e Stoudemire was a gold medalist and has also won a bronze medal in his professional career. In 2004 at Athens, when there held Summer Olympics; he has won the bronze medal. In the year 2007, when there held FIBA Americas Championship at Las Vegas; Stoudemire has been awarded with the gold medal.
