Tariq Abdul Wahad Bio

Tariq Abdul-Wahad was born with a name of Olivier Michael Saint-Jean on November 3, 1974.

He was born with French nationality in the city of Maisons-Alfort in France. He was a former professional basketball player of French. He was born from parents who emigrated from French Guiana. In 1997 he accepted Islam and changed his name from Olivier Michael Saint-Jean to Tariq Abdul-Wahad.

He is the first player in all French nation who born in French nation and played professional basketball for National Basketball association. Tariq was very good and important player for his college basketball team. He was a very good player during his university career also.

During his college career he played basketball for the basketball team of his college against many other basketball teams he also played basketball at city level by representing his city’s basketball team. He proved his worth over there in his college career and university career.

He studied in University of Michigan but later after he transferred to San Jose State. This was the place where he played his best basketball and was selected for National basket ball association by Sacramento Kings in 1997.

He started his career with Sacramento Kings but later he also played for other teams. He was known as a defensive specialist in his team and was very strong in the defense of the team. And he was happy with his happy with his position and proved himself as a big defensive player by stopping many points of other teams.
He made his team very best by his best performances. He wears No.3 shirt and his NO.3 shirt was very famous in San Jose State in 2002. In 1999 NBA session he was at his peak performance due to his born abilities and hardworking while he was playing for Sacramento Kings.
