Shareef Abdur-Rahim Bio

Shareef Abdur-Rahim was very famous basketball player of National Basketball player.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim was born on December 11, 1976 in a city of Georgia names as Marietta. He is now retired from NBA (national basketball association). He was professional basketball player of NBA. Shareef Abdul – Rahim is the second eldest siblings in his family of twelve born children.

He started his educational and basketball career during his school career; he was in Joseph Wheeler High School at that time. Later he joined University of California Berkeley to carry on his studies. University was the place for this guy where he can make his basket player dream to come true.

On the court he played at two positions forward and centre. And at both positions he proved his abilities as much as he can. At front or forward position he played for some teams and at centre position he also played some matches. No matter at what place or position he being played he presented himself as a great basketball player and very hard working player of NBA.

He also played for United States men’s national basketball team that won many matches during his career and also won a gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. During his career he had some severe and persistent knee injuries due to which he missed many matches during very important tournaments. His all injuries and bad lucks were before the joining of Sacramento Kings.

He was selected by Vancouver Grizzlies franchise first time in NBA and he played many matches and some sessions with this team during his starting of his career. During his start of career and due to best performance in some early matches he was the star of the Vancouver Grizzles.
Later he joined Kings and retired with this team. He is now manager of Sacramento Kings.
