The Roadrunners finished the NCAA Tournament with an overall record of 20-7. Ramapo faced Johnson and Wales in the first round of the tournament and lost in overtime 114-106.

The Roadrunners Season

The Roadrunners saw much success this season as they entered the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Ramapo had 20 wins this season, earned the North Division Title, the No. 1 seed in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament, and an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament for a tournament appearance. Although, the season ended on a loss, the win wasn’t given up easily. In the final period of the game, Johnson and Wales outscored Ramapo 16-8.

The Roadrunners went 38 for 68 for 58% from the field for the night, which was more than Johnson and Wales 41 for 81 for 51% field shooting. Ramapo couldn’t capitalize in overtime and eventually lost the game. Head Coach Chuck McBreen leads the Roadrunners but looks to Ahmad Hassan, Elgin Brown, and LaQuan Peterkin for wins.

He has been named Ramapo College Coach of the Year in both basketball and tennis. The NJAC, Met Writers, and NABC Atlantic Region have also recognized McBreen for Coach of the Year.

Junior Ahmad Hassan was named to the NJAC All-Conference First Team. This is his first NJAC post-season award in his career. He was also named to the D3 All-Atlantic Region Team and NABC All-District Team.
