Joakim Noah Bio

Joakim Noah was born in the family that was owned by tennis and show business but his passion was always for the basketball.

His father yannick was a tennis star who won 1983 French open championship. He was also a renowned member of International Tennis Hall of Fame. Beside this all Joakim did it in untraditional fashion instead of following his father in tennis he started loving basketball.

His mother Cecilia Rhode was Miss Sweden in 1978. The profession of her other too could not detract him from going into the court of basketball.

He was seems to be born of basketball. Joakim is also a social person besides just a better basketball player. He also visited Rush Children’s Hospital and delivered gifts there and also spent some time there with patients and families, made a personal food donation for Food Drive benefiting the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Joakim once hosted a tribute event to offer gratitude to Dr. Martin Luther King at MLK Boys and Girls Club there in Chicago. Participated in Basketball without any Borders at Johannesburg in 2009… Joakim also attended the Bulls/Verizon Wireless Charity Golf Outing in summer of 2008. Joakim was always keen to perform better in the field whether it was his school or college career. He started his school career at high note and so was the story of his college career. He joined Florida University as the student of anthropology and kept rising as prominent player of basketball.

He continued his excellence in the court by performing in fantastic fashion at his university it was the class of Joakim that make Florida university stand out as national champion in 2006 and 2007 at regular basis. He was no wonder outstanding in 2006 but it was accredited by the NCAA by declaring him most outstanding player of the year.

Joakim ended his college career with 1,124 points and with awesome records that were remained unbroken in many years to come. His sophomore campaign was equally marvelous where he scored at a nice rate of 14.2 ppg, a collegiate best record.

The career of this high class performer was also so splendid; he played at career average of 7.9 PPG, 7.9 RPG, 1.26 BPG and 1.5 APG.

He played a total of 218 games with 140 starts. He played 45 double doubles in his career with 60 plus games with ten or more points and rebounds. His average in playoff games was 12.1 PPG. Joakim played most of his time at Chicago where he played in two seasons that is 2007-08 and 2008-09. His average as a rookie in 2007-08 season was 5.6 RPG, 6.6 PPG, 0.92 SPG, 1.1 APG and 0.86 BPG in 20.7 mpg. He played 80 games in season of 2008 2009 at an average of 7.6 RPG and 6.7 PPG.

Joakim played his seven playoff games in 2009 at an average of 10.1 PPG and a team best 13.1 RPG and posted three double doubles in initial six games he played there. Missed few games due to ankle injury during the season… Joakim was drafted by Chicago for first time in his career in 2007 NBA draft and got an extension by the bulls in 2010.
