Jason Terry Bio

Jason Eugene Terry, an American professional basketball player was born on September 15, 1977 in Seattle, Washington.

Currently Jason is playing with the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks. He plays at shooting guard position, but can also play at point guard. His nickname is “JET” and his height is 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) and listed weight is 181 lb (82 kg), Jason wears No. 31. Jason Terry has nine brother and sisters, one of his brothers, Curtis, also plays college basketball for UNLV.

During his college career, Terry won an NCAA Championship, in 1997 with the University of Arizona. According to NAB records Terry was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in the 1999 NBA Draft as the 10th overall picks.

With averaging 19.7 points and leading the club in steals, assists and free throws made, Jason Terry proved him as the team’s best player in the 2000–01 season.

Just prior to the start of the 2004–05 season, Terry was traded to the Mavericks after spending his first five seasons with the Hawks. Terry averaged 17.5 points on 51% shooting while hitting 49% in 2004–05 NBA Playoffs. in 2009, he won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award. On July, 2006, Terry signed a 6-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks.

Terry is an elite 3 point shooter and is regarded as one of the fastest players in the league. His shooting accuracy can change dramatically from game to game and so for this reason he is known as a very streaky player.

Terry also has an international career, as he was a member of the United States squad for the Goodwill Games took place in Australia in 2001.
