Esteban Batista Hernandez

Most commonly known as Batista, he is a professional Basketball player for Uruguay. He was born on the 2nd of September, 1983 in the Montevideo, Uruguay. Batista is currently playing for the team of Caja Laboral for the League in Spain called the ACB. Batista was noted to be the first ever Uruguayan to enter the NBA scene.

His professional basketball career started when he joined the Uruguayan League in the year 2001. After a great season he then transferred to Spain for the second division league. He played for the LEB League in Spain in the year 2003.

Batista after on had signed his contract as a free player agent for the team of Atlanta Hawks on the 12th of September in the year 2005. And on the 2nd of November of the same year, he had his debut. But on his debut, he had garnered zero scores even if he played a total of 6 minutes in the court against the team of Golden State Warriors. That is why; on his first season in NBA he only garnered an average statistics of 2.5 rebounds and only 1.8 points which is, 8.7 minutes per game in a total of 56 games over all.

However, his skills are being trusted to sway up, so he had been asked to sign for the Boston Celtics on the 26th of September, 2007 but this has no guarantee. After some time, on the 16th of the same year, Batista was then released by the team. But, after he has been waived by the Boston Celtics, he was acquired by the team of Maccabi Tel Aviv club in Israel. He also participated on the Russian Super League team namely Triumph Lyuberty on December 2008.

Nicolas Mazzarino

He was born on the 21st of October 1975 in Salto. He is a professional Uruguayan Basketball player but since he also has an Italian Passport, he currently plays for the Pallacanestro Cantu for the Serie A in Italy. His professional basketball career started as he played or the club of Hebraica y Macabi in the year 1993.

While he was in this club, they have won the Uruguayan Championships in the year 1994. After some time in the year 1997, he transferred to another winning club where they have won 4 consecutive championship seasons while he was with the team of C.A. Welcome.

Mazzarino started to play for the Uruguayan National Basketball league in the year 1997 to 2008. While he plays for the Team, he won 5 times South American Basketball Championships dated 1997, 1999, 2004, 2008 and 2001. They have also won 6 times in the FIBA Americas Championships on the year 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005 and last but not the least, year 2007.
