Carmelo Anthony Biography

Carmelo Kiyan Anthony is a professional basketball player of America.

He was born on May 29, 1984 in a very famous city of United States, New York. He is a very popular player. Kiyan lost his father when he was just two years old. Then his African mother looked after him. His is also known by his nick name “Melo”. When Kiyan turned eight he moved Baltimore with his family. Baltimore was the place where Kiyan developed his plying skills. To start his educational career Kiyan was admitted in Towson Catholic High School.

He was a player of basketball during his school career. He played for his school’s basketball team and played many games for his school. He also represented his school in Catholic league. He was declared Catholic League player of the year. During his school days he also affirmed as The Baltimore Sun’s metro player of the year.

In his school he was a star of basketball. He received many victories for his school’s basketball team.

Carmelo finished his school education and joined a college for further advance education in his educational field. He was a student of Syracuse University. Along with the studies Carmelo also played basketball for his university’s basketball team.

He played only one season in this university and during 2002-2003 with an average score of 22.1 points and 10.0 rebounds. During his university career his performance in basketball was brilliant, his performance was enough good to win Most Outstanding Player award during his university career.

Anthony’s Started his NBA career when he was selected by Denver Nuggets in first round of 2003 NBA draft. He spent a long period with Denver Nuggets and was signed by New York Knicks in 2011 and he is still playing with this team. And he is a main player of his team.
