Ben Uzoh Bio

Ben Uzoh was born on March 1988 in San Antonio, Texas. He is an American professional basketball player and plays at point guard position. Uzboh's height is 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) and his listed weight is 205 lb (93 kg).

During his college Uzoh played for the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Uzoh remained undrafted in the 2010 NBA Draft, then he signed contract with the National Basketball Association's New Jersey Nets.

In 2011, Uzoh was given a contract to play out the rest of the year in New Jersey. He was assigned to the Springfield Armor of the NAB.

Career information of Uzoh is as follows, during college he played for the University of Tulsa, his NBA Draft 2010 / Undrafted and his Pro career is from 2010 to present. Ben Uzoh's 2010-11 Statistics shows his PPG 3.4, RPG 1.50, APG 1.4 and his EFF + 3.97.

Uzoh was ranked in the top 10 in school history in 11 categories, including points, assists, steals, rebounds and blocks. He was a three-year winner and starter at San Antonio Warren High School and helped his team register records of 35-5 as a junior and 30-10 his senior season also averaged 23.0 points and 9.5 rebounds as a senior.

He was also named First Team All-Conference USA as a senior, and also as a junior, Second Team All-Conference USA. In 2009-10 season he won first-team all-C-USA honors and was an NABC second-team all-C-USA selection.

During 2007-08 season Uzoh started all 39 games, and averaged 15.6 points and 5.4 rebounds. He was named second-team all-C-USA and tallied 34 double-figures scoring games and had nine 20+ point games. In 2006-07 season Uzoh played in all 31 games and had 30 starts,he started the first 21 games and averaged 9.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.1 steals in 25.9 minutes . He was named to the Conference USA all-freshman team and had 17 double-figure scoring games.

Uzoh likes playing the piano and singing. Other game that he likes is football besides basketball. He majors in exercise sports science. Uzoh's favorite TV show is "The Jamie Foxx Show". His shoe size is 14, he has three sisters.

According to latest news The Nets are expected to recall Uzoh from the D-League, he proved a capable backup for stretches earlier this season, and will give the Nets some extra depth at point guard. Uzoh averaged 12.3 points, 6.0 assists and 7.7 rebounds in three games for Springfield. Ben Uzoh's 2011 Salary is $473,604.
