by Unknown
(--------------------------)

On January 21st, 1963, this little Nigerian boy was born in Lagos. His family consisted of parents Salim and Abike, 5 siblings, wife Dalia Asafi, and children Aisha and Rahmah. His schooling in Elementary was Olivia Park, high schooled at Muslim Teachers College, and went to Houston University. GO HOUSTON ROCKETS! This man changed the way people thought of Nigeria, basketball, and Muslims. He was an NBA player, and coach George Karl claims he's, "...2nd best player...". He was in the Basketball Hall of Fame. He won an olympic gold medal in 1996. This man truly brought out Nigeria's "true colors". In one conference he let his sorrow be known as to the look on Nigeria in the world. Five words that describe him are: basketball, family, Nigeria, success, and *DREAM*. HE WAS MUSLIM/ISLAMIC.
